２Kyoto City Zoo
This zoo was opened in 1903, making it the second oldest zoo in Japan after Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. Some 150 species are cared for at the zoo, including mammals, birds, insects and amphibians.
This was built in 1895 to celeb rate t he 1100th anniversary of the transfer of the capital to Heian-kyo(Kyoto). It deifies the first and last emperors to rule from Kyoto: Kammu and Komei.
４Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts
The Traditional Crafts Museum, or Fureaikan, exhibits craft wares representative of Kyoto for the public to get a close look at their intricate beauty. These exhibits are accompanied by video clips showing the processes and techniques required to complete traditional craft wares.
５The Kyocera Museum of Art
It will b e reopened in 2019.
