The Traditional Crafts Museum, o r Fureaikan, exhibits craft wares representative of Kyoto for the public to get a close look at their intricate beauty. These exhibits are accompanied by video clips showing the processes and techniques required to complete traditional craft wares.
This was built in 1895 to celeb rate the 1100th anniversary of the transfer of the capital to Heian-kyo(Kyoto). It deifies the first and last emperors to rule from Kyoto: Kammu and Komei.
