Maruyama Park

Set at the foot of the Higashiyama range, this park has an east-west incline. In the center of the park stands the famous cherry blossom tree, which is the second one to stand here, being planted as a seed of the original tree back in 1949.
Through the center of the park there are steps and a stone bridge that make wheelchair access difficult, so wheelchair users should detour around these (beware that in so doing traffic carrying roads must be used). (Month checked: 2013.Feb, )
