  • Western Food
Located in Umekoji Park (also home to Kyoto Aquarium), this restaurant has an 11-meter high ceiling and glass walls on all sides, so the four seasons in the strolling garden outside can be fully enjoyed in at total sense of freedom. The vegetable cuisine of the Kyo-yasai style - in particular, locally grown vegetables from the Kamogamo area - holds the top spot in the menu. Fresh vegetables brought in directly from farms are used to make the western-style dishes, such as curries and hamburger meals. Besides the large set menus there also is a large selection of handmade desserts. Dining here is enhanced by the locale - greenery and light inside and the soothing four seasons outside at the terrace tables - so, feast your eyes while you feast your stomach.

[Message from restaurant]
The restaurant is part of the Midori-no-kan, which carries the international symbol of access for the disabled, so everyone is welcome to the restaurant. If several days notice is given, food can be specially prepared to suit diners with allergies or for the elderly. We also have an extensive kids' menu and baby buggies can be looked after while you dine, so please just let us know what you need. In autumn the garden is lit up to show off the beautiful colors and business hours change slightly. The restaurant is very busy on weekends and national holidays, so for a leisurely visit we recommend coming after 3:00pm on a weekday. (Floor manager Hikaru Miyata) (Month checked: 2014.Oct, )

The hamburger is topped in a special demi-glace sauce that is further topped by lashings of avocado green tartar sauce, and comes with a side serving of vegetables and salad as well as soup and a choice of rice or bread, making this set a hearty meal. On the cafe front, the restaurant also serves very popular cakes and desserts, such as the "Greenhouse chiffon" (480 yen) that incorporates spinach in the cake.
