Kyoto City Library of Historical Documents

This is where materials pertaining to the history of Kyoto are kept. To start with, on the first floor there is a compact exhibition where the visitor is more than likely to come across some interesting glimpses of Kyoto history. On the second floor there is a reading room where visitors can peruse historical materials, library books, photos and illustrations. Also, staff members are more than willing to discuss issues related to Kyoto history, so please feel free to ask them. This history library also is located right next to the beautiful Kyoto Imperial Gardens.
Wheelchair users can move around the library smoothly.
